(theory) Odin wants to start Ragnarok

    Posted: 08 Oct 2020 12:01 PM PDT

Hi, the other day I read an interesting theory: Odin actually wants the Ragnarok to start earlier because of this reasons

    • In the normal Ragnarok the Aesir are supposed to fight an army of Giants, but in that timeline there are less than 10 known Jotnar alive (basically if he waited 100 more years, there's a possibility Giants could grow in number)

    • Loki, one of his greatest enemies is a child without his abilities fully developed

    • Wants to kill Loki as a child and break the cycle of Jormungandr being sent back in time (by preventing him to be born)

    • Almost like the previous point, he wants to prevent dangerous Giants like Hel/Hella, Jormungandr and Fenrir to be born by killing Loki as a child

Edit: starting the war of wars while your enemies are weak and outnumbered is probably the best way of winning it

Why do the gods refer to Kratos as “Mortal?”

    Posted: 08 Oct 2020 08:35 AM PDT

Many gods and titans like Poseidon and Cronos refer to Kratos as a filthy mortal, but if he's the son of Zeus, then he has always been a god, no? So why do they call him a mortal when he clearly is not?

Also why can't the gods in Norse mythology grow huge like Ares?

Greece and Midguard sharing the Earth

    Posted: 08 Oct 2020 09:44 AM PDT

The idea is that they're on the same planet never made much sense to me.

If they were just in separate countries how come Tyr is one of the only ones to actually travel to the different parts and has become a legend for it. Doubtful he'd become so famous if everyone could do it

Didn't Tyr have to use extreme magic to do all that, wouldn't be needed if he had to cross water or country

Things like Titans being the reason for the Greek gods but the Midguard Gods seem to of just happened.

The World Serpent covering the world but yet only known in Norse (Could be because he wasn't born at that time of the og trilogy)

The fact the Norse gods are in control of all these other realms and yet they only have a tiny section of midguard? Doesn't make much sense to me at all that all these pantheons have tiny sections of a planet

Not to mention the flooding of the world

    I loved this game but...

    Posted: 08 Oct 2020 11:56 AM PDT

Did anyone else feel like it was too short? I beat the game in a matter of weeks and was hoping for a lot more.

The game I played before that was red dead redemption 2, which took me 6 or 7 months to get 100% on, so perhaps my perspective is skewed.
