- Late to the party, just finished God of War and painted this tribute to Jotunheim. I've played the previous titles but didn't expect it to be the love child of previous gow game, a pixar worthy story and Ocarina of Time. EEEErmagerd so good.

- The part where Atreus drops his knife and Kratos hands it to him, it sounded like he grabbed the knife so violently it slashed Kratos' hand lol. "Boy! Why did you grab the knife like that?! You might've cut my hand!" (Atreus:......)

Posted: 30 Nov 2019 06:29 AM PST What do you guys think will happen next? What will even be the plot/objective? Other than a fight against Thor / Odin. I have a feeling that Kratos will die in the next game. We saw the drawings in the end, and i guess they will end Kratos there and then start the plot of Atreus road to Loki. Could be pretty awesome. Can we have a brief talk about weapon design? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 11:45 PM PST I grew up playing the God of War games, from a very young age. About ~8 years old or so. But we were too poor for me to have a playstation 3, so I never played God of War 3 or anything after that. Now 21 years old, decided to take a look at the 2018 game out of nostalgia and oh boy, I couldn't believe what Santa Monica had done to Kratos' iconic weapons. I had so much love for the blades of chaos as a child. The contrast in design between the Leviathan Axe and the Blades is startling. Holy cow the Blades were poorly designed. They look just like something you'd see in /r/mallninjashit but made out of cobblestone. In hindsight I'm so glad I've grown out of this kind of 90s-2000s overdone design. And looking back at the whole world and character design of the earlier games, Santa Monica had a lot going for them a lot of the time to be sure, but some of the boss arenas looked like they had come straight out of a jrpg and many of the cutscenes had that japanese vibe to them, especially in the first game (Ares, anyone?). In the 2018 GoW, I just couldn't find any trace left of those flaws. I remember being skeptical when the game was first announced; now, after going for a deeper look, I can't wait to play it myself. Posted: 30 Nov 2019 03:38 AM PST The feeling of playing God of War again. Be in love with God of War. Because this is the first time I felt something like this ❤❤❤ [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Nov 2019 01:42 AM PST I think the only thing I'm slightly bummed about for a new god of war is all my setup and gear won't carry over to the next game. I mean yes it's possible but how often is it this is allowed? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Nov 2019 07:30 PM PST God of War theory - Thor is not the enemy. Atreus repetedly made a point that some gods may be good. And the lore given highlights more of Odin's evils than Thor's. The next games may focus on the Vanir and Aesir conflict, in which, Kratos will tend to take no part, like he did in Alfhiem. Thor might be forgive his sons' deaths if Kratos decides to help or something. That is unlikely, as the game had the repeating theme of parent's love. Still, considering that we do not know what kind of a person Thor is, this may happen. Ragnarok will occur years later, in which Atreus, a halfgiant will kill Odin. Although there is a lack of human warriors going around in the world, so whence cometh Einherjar? The closest we come to humans is dead spirits and a man's head. It will be a good take on GoW if Kratos worked with a god, one who's trustworthy and doesn't send him to a two way trip to Underw-Valhalla/Hel. [link] [comments]

Question about God Of War (2018) as a newcomer Posted: 29 Nov 2019 11:47 PM PST Hi this is my first time posting to this sub so apologies if i'm breaking any rules. I just recently got a PS4 and i bought the newest God Of War game from 2018 today for the black friday sale. It's the game with Kratos' child (assuming it's his child). Anyway, i am new to this series completely. I have never played a God Of War game before. There wasn't a collection of the old games available on PS4 so i was wondering if i will understand this game? Do i need to play the old ones? The only thing i heard was that they switch over to Norse mythology from Greek for this game. What will i miss out on from not having played the previous games? Any help would be really appreciated [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:59 PM PST I saw this for only $9.99 so thought about picking it up. I'm an older gamer (late 50s) so generally shy away from games which take quick reactions. My style of play is more stealth. I love stuff like Fallout, Red Dead, Witcher and Skyrim where I can take my time, explore and line up shots. I wanted to see if anyone had an opinion as to whether or not this would be a good game for my style. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Nov 2019 05:28 PM PST Hello all, just picked up a PS4. I am a little late to the party. Is there a way to play the original God of War? [link] [comments]
a question about the evils in the saga god of war Posted: 29 Nov 2019 04:06 PM PST The question is, what are really the evils inside the box? are they materialized? if they were created in the great war does it mean that before there was no evil in the world? [link] [comments] |
