Kratos teaching war strategy to Atreus

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 10:55 AM PDT

Would anyone else love to hear Kratos speaking more about what he is actually the god of?

I love moments such as the elves attacking where he shouts "a narrow path negates larger numbers" echoing the battle of thermopylae or whenever he's telling atreus "this is the end of a war boy, the light ones lost, you do not know the full story".

Every other god always seems to display their godhood, Thor obviously throws thunder, Poseidon controls the ocean etc. And their abilities reflect this.

Kratos seems to fit the god of rage or god of strength title more, even in battle but in these moments when he discusses war, strategy and the toll or aftermath we see a more complex side to him that displays his critical thinking, his mind and how he actually understands warfare and that is why he succeeds because whilst every other god has abilities at the end of they day they want to fight and the reason Kratos wins is because he understands the nature, role and execution of conflict to a degree others do not.

P.S. any story he tells of Sparta always sends chills down my spine

When taking Advari's soul is it just me or Kratos just gave Atreus his first pet?

Build progress guide for a new game

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 04:13 AM PDT

I played this when it first came out on ps4 and loved it so im currently downloading it again on my new ps5.

I enjoy games like dark souls where you can min/max stats to get optimal damage and wear the right armours ect.. So im looking for a not too complicated build for my new God of War playthough.

There is a problem however, in that I cant find any build walkthroughs/guides that actually tell you what armours/abilities and such you should be purchasing/upgrading as you progress through the game.

All the builds out there all use endgame equimpment and is not that usefull to me if I want to play though the whole game at once doing all the quests.

If anyone has a link to a guide that actually shows you how to progress Kratos as you play through the game for a particular build that would be useful.

Crows in God of War Ascension, do u think Odin kept an eye on Kratos way earlier and do u think that the gods such as Zeus and Odin knew each other and that they knew what kind of threat Kratos was?

Which other mythological creatures could be new enemies in the next game?

    Posted: 21 Jul 2021 05:55 AM PDT

The last game already explored many monsters from norse mythology and folklore to make enemies and sub-bosses, like draugr, trolls, dark elves etc., while taking creatures from other european cultures (such as tatzelwurms and the wulvers) and creating new ones (like travellers and ancients), so I was thinking about which creatures could be used next. I think the Nokken and Huldra would make nice additions, and perhaps a Nisse could be an ally.

So I've always had a question about Kratos in GoW II to III

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 11:04 PM PDT

In God Of War II Gaia says Kratos put all his Godly power into the Blade of Olympus and he ends up easily crushed by the statue's falling hand. So when/ where does he regain the strength to hold off Chronos and other creatures that are double that statues size and strength? Is it just implied that when he stole the blade from Zeus near the end of the game he regained his full god level strength? Or could it be that draining his powers into the blade simply left him fatigued and weakened?

Guys ignore the audio. Please help me fix this glitch. I’m trying to get to my last Valkyrie (Kara) but this unmovable Box in the witch’s cave is blocking my way to her and I don’t wanna start the game all over again so please someone tell me how to fix this.

    Odin’s portrayal in GOW5?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 04:37 PM PDT

How do you want to see Odin portrayed in GOW5?

Personally I would hate to see him be similar to Zeus in terms of physical stature and power, one of the differences I like is that whilst both are paranoid power hungry control freaks, Zeus seemed to be that way by the fear released in Pandora's box but Odin seems to be this way naturally.

Also, whenever we hear of the tactics Odin uses (birds, scroll collecting and convincing Freya to teach him magic) he seems to be a god who sees physical power as very unimportant (in fact it looks like he's outsourced that to Thor) and instead he sees knowledge, relationships and control of circumstance as being the ultimate power (I.e holding the wolves who chase the sun and moon so that he can decide ragnaroks timing) .

How do you want to see him talk, loud and bellowing like Zeus? Or subtle and more like the old frail wanderer he often pretended to be but clearly housing some form of inner power.

Would you like to see Odin as a slender, cloaked shadowy figure that is knowledge obsessed (to the extent he plucks out his eyes and hangs himself) as opposed to a direct physical threat to kratos I.e they never actually fight?
