Inspired by the Leviathan, I made an axe for some boardgame characters I'm working on.

Took me three weeks to draw Kratos on Red Ballpoint Pen!

Freya will play a major role in the next game, but not much people seem to be talking about it

    Posted: 09 Nov 2019 05:28 AM PST

Seriously. I'm as hyped as the next guy for the fight with Thor and mjolnir but I think freya will play a MAJOR role in the next game. SHE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS THE STRUCTURAL WEAKNESS IN THE WALLS OF ASGARD. She was hell bent on getting her Valkyrie wings back.

And it also plays a thematic role in the story of how family and revenge can change someone so kind and benovelent.

Thor will represent old, ruthless Kratos, while freya will represent a twisted version of Kratos kind of driven by hatred and rage due to death of her son (like if Kratos lost Atreus)

    What do you guys think?

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Helheim (Spoilers)

    Posted: 09 Nov 2019 10:57 AM PST

I found the game's depiction of Helheim to be awesome in how desolate and forbidding it was. Like, in an afterlife you expect there to be some kind of social structure-beings that look after and/or punish the dead, the dead people themselves in various situations good or bad, a bigshot who rules over the realm, guards, etc.

But Helheim seems devoid of most of these. The dead just wander around, the realm itself punishes the dead with bad memories, we don't see anyone who looks like they're in charge of the whole thing, the Eagle just sits there, it's mentioned that not even Odin could survive there, there's an area that Mimir tells Kratos to never go to, we don't know who built the structure there, or where the ship came from. The Troll takes away from that feeling of mystery a bit but that's just one thing. As for the Hel Walkers, I don't know how sapient they are.

All that makes the place feel more alien, a dark and forbidding location that people only enter if they have no choice. There's a subtle air of creepiness in the background while we're doing plot stuff there. I know that some stuff like the eagle and potentially the ship can be explained if you know your Norse Mythology. And I know about Loki's daughter who's supposed to be in charge of the place. I'm talking about what we see in game, a lot of stuff isn't explained and the place feels desolate and empty in a satisfying way.

Completed a replay of God of War NG+ on GMGOW difficulty recently. I decided to culminate the playthrough with Kratos fighting the Valkyrie Queen Sigrun with Level 1 equipment and armor. The hidden ending is included. Enjoy.

    Three travelers prophecy

    Posted: 08 Nov 2019 02:52 PM PST

What if the three travelers heading to an unknown destiny prophecy really made reference to Kratos, Atreus and Mimir during their journey?
