So after showing you guys the video of me beating sigrun down barehanded which received a lot of love and i thank you guys for that, some of you asked to see gameplay of weapon use against sigrun. I beat her in 2 minutes with weapons opposed to 4 minutes barehanded. Let me know what you guys think!

    The ending!

    Posted: 15 Nov 2019 12:23 PM PST

I finished the game recently (100%, platinum trophy), and didn't want to start New Game+ yet, so was just fooling around and decided to head home since I was "done" with everything. Boy, oh boy, was I delighted to see that there is something waiting for us back there! That Thor cutscene brought back all the excitement that I'd lost because I finished everything! Discovering optional things yourself has its own joy! How many of you discovered this yourself? How many of you didn't know about this yet?

Sigrun Fight + New Game+ questions

    Posted: 15 Nov 2019 09:55 AM PST

So I basically bashed my head against a wall for 2 hours untill I decided I needed a break and regem/respec a little. I finally did beat her on normal but some of her attacks are some real BS.

How do I avoid the AoE-attack in which she plunges with her sickle (?) into the ground and something explodes into a mist? I can't seem to block it.
Why is the camera so bad in this fight? I notice that recent playstation exlusives such as Horizon Zero Dawn also suffer from this, the camera is glued to your shoulder and anything above eye-height is difficult to track of.

How is New Game+? Can you upgrade your existing armors or get those same armors but at higher levels?

God of War collection for PS4 i would love to see.

    Posted: 15 Nov 2019 08:43 AM PST

So after beating God of War PS4, i thought to myself well what's next, there probably going to make GoW 5 next, and it got me thinking that the PS4 GoW was the only one i every really had a go at. wile myself and my Fiancee have two PS4s were mainly Xbox users and i wondered if they would bring a full collection to the PS4 like the Kingdom hearts collections.

sadly no, they seem determined to only put them on PS now, since i'm not in to a card based payed game streaming services on a system that can't avoid being hacked in one way or another every year. then i'll resort to the YouTube game movies.

however that's not why i'm posting this.

while playing through Halo 2 on the master chief collection i noticed how they re-told the story, all the original cut-scenes were there but it was told from the perspective of the arbiter describing the events to spartan lock.

now that got me thinking... wouldn't it be a novel idea if they made a collection of the GoW games (all of them) with a little bit of polish hear and there but told through the perspective of Kratos telling Atreus. with Mimir giving incite to any questions Atreus had.

at the end of GoW PS4 kratos states he has nothing left to hide. something like this might be a good way to show what kratos and Atreus are going between 4 and 5, perhaps his reasoning for telling these events is so the boy can learn from his mistakes.

for example when Kratos explains his first visit to the underworld via impailment, Atreus could be surprised that his dad died but is alive now.

"ah now you see, for some, death is not a one way door that just slams shut behind you, but more of an open gateway that acts as an inconvenience, like your da here..."

in all of the games i've watched there are moments were there seems to be a stretch from set peice to set peice of nothing but running or very silent moments were you are just doing things... hearing background dialog like that could give life to the old games and be a way of fleshing out that this is a re-telling of a story.

this was just an idea but it would be interesting if they did something like this.

Thoughts on Freya knowing Kratos' name before the final battle?

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 11:41 PM PST

With all the subtle hints and foreshadowing in the game do you think this could mean anything or is just a writing mistake? The only ones to know of Kratos' existence was Tyr, the giants, and Mimir. When even the smartest man alive couldnt figure out who he was until being told it puts Freya's knowledge of his name in a weird spot. There was the giant who built the walls around Asgard (can't remember his name) who told Freya of the one weakness to the walls. Could it be that somehow Kratos is that weakness?

I think we forgot about an awesome fight that’s probably gonna happen in the next game...

While it will primarily be a Kratos vs. Thor thing going on in the next game, what about Jormungandr vs. Thor? Do you think "The Big Snake" will get knocked backed in time again?

New Game+ what was your experience? What do you get out of it? should I do it?

    Posted: 15 Nov 2019 05:52 AM PST

How many of you have gone further with NG+? What all gets refreshed? What happens to side quest? What happens to Valkyrie? Do I again get to collect the same runes? And same drops from the same enemy or new drops? Do enemies get tougher? Tough enemies at the early stages? They perform new attack pattern?

    An underrated aspect of GOW

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 08:11 PM PST

One thing I love about the new game is how much time you DON'T have to spend in a menu. Pretty much all weapons or items are accessible by pressing one button. I love games like Skyrim, but the amount of time you have to spend in the menu can really kill the action. GOW really has it down and you don't need a ton of different weapons to have fun. A few good ones that you can continually improve are actually much better.

I'm little confused here, isn't kratos godhood power taken by Zeus who disguised himself as an eagle and sucked when Kratos lift blade of olympus? So why in god of war 2018, Kratos said to Atreus that he is a god? Why he didn't tell Atreus that he is only demigod? Is Calliope have illnes like Atreus

My theory on another reason why Thor and Odin tries to kill off all the giants

    Posted: 14 Nov 2019 08:53 PM PST

Aside from them being a threat to the Aesir. Giants are known to have the ability to see into the future, at least in the God of War universe. Atreus is proof that you don't have to be full giant to have this ability, but I guess for him it only manifests in dreams like the hidden scene after beating the game. Thor is also half-giant, and its possible he might've had a dream where a giant beats him, Odin, and the other Asgardians, possibly during Ragnarok. This giant could have been a grown-up Atreus, as at this point most of the giants have already been wiped out, and Atreus has the potential power to do so. But Thor doesn't know who exactly this giant is, and so kills off giants to prevent that one giant from doing that. What do you guys think?

Are the two PSP games notably improved on PS3?

    Posted: 15 Nov 2019 01:33 AM PST

Been getting into PSP collecting recently and I've been eyeing the two God of War games, the so called "Origins" games. I know there's a collection of both of them avalible on PS3 but do these improve the game in any substantial way? (Framerate, extra content, better controls etc) or is it more of a direct port without notable enhancements other than HD visuals?
