Whats the dumbest critique youve heard someone made about any of the GOW games?

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 07:55 AM PDT

I ask this because my roommate/brother had the DUMBEST reason for not liking the new game(more specifically kratos). He loved the old games but hated the new one and when i asked why i was expecting something like "i didnt like the gameplay", or "wasnt a fan of the story" or even a "i prefer greek mythology". Nope. You know what it was? His beard. Yep. He hates the new game because " they gave kratos a beard and didnt keep him as a clean shaven spartan". He believes beards are a sign of fragile masculinity and thought it put kratos to shame for having one.

Valkyrie Rota's Valhalla is swift and more deadly than Gundul's especially when Sirgrun uses it. She does with without shouting it.

God of war open world game?

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 09:04 AM PDT

    Okey just hear me out..

I don't think Santa Monica should change anything with their upcoming God of war game "if the game is good don't change it" But an open world experience with rpg elements and crafting system spinoff game taking place in Norse, Greek or Egyptian mythology would be amazing. I've finished games like AC latest trilogy and Playstation exclusive open world games like HZD, GOT, Days Gone and Spiderman but an God of war open world game would be at a next level. What do you think?

4 down (this one was a hard one)

Just beat Sigrun again two days ago on GMGOW after having issues with the final Baldur fight and being impaired because I couldn’t take my medication: here’s what I learned.

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 12:19 PM PDT

Sigrun isn't hard in the traditional sense of a challenge like all the other Valkyries. What I mean by this is all other Valkyries, even (I believe it's Eir) the second most challenging Valkyrie is challenging in the traditional sense. Sigrun actually has some essentially unfair moves that she performs that you sometimes get lucky not to have her perform.

The first move is avoidable but at times difficult to avoid, and I found that to be her unblockable jab. If you're not a proper distance away, she will not move a proper distance away, and you essentially have no way to dodge this attack at all. Sometimes, however, she just simply misses if you're just causally strafing. Then other times, you could dodge to the left and she doesn't hit you, but she somehow nails the in-game hit box and you take damage. This, to me, is a slightly unfair mechanic but as I said before not really, because it can be countered if you're calm, measured, and keep proper distance and attention.

The real unfair part of the Sigrun fight is the singular firebomb she will sometimes drop on your face. I noticed this a lot in my run (I went for no damage and got it). There is one attack where she literally out of nowhere just drops a fucking fireball on your face. Just one. Not the string where you can counter, but one firebomb and you're stunned and fucked if you're doing a no damage run. Am I schizophrenic or did this happen to others? I don't remember that specific attack from the first time I handed her her ass but it happened at least 5 times last time.

How did Kratos travel to Midgard? (Spoiler)

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 12:02 PM PDT

I know at the end of GoW 3, the world (Greece?) floods and Kratos seems to fall into the water…

From there did he sail to Midgard (Scandinavia?) or what?

In GoW 4 when you travel through Tyr's Temple it looks like you're moving through space and time, are the realms like a different pocket of the universe or how does it work?

Can I delete a downloaded language pack? (PS5)

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 09:15 AM PDT

I downloaded the Greek audio file, but Atreus is voiced by an adult trying hard to sound like a 10 y old boy. Is there a way to delete this useless 300 mb of data?
