Idk if they already asked this question, but why did world serpent dropped them near dead giant ?

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 11:14 AM PDT

Just wondering, at last why did serpent picked that particular spot. Or it will be explained next game ? Or it's just some random spot. ?

Why did Kratos become just like Ares after assuming his role at the start of GOW2?

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 08:49 AM PDT

This confuses me because the whole of the first game saw Kratos seeking revenge on Ares for realising how evil he was... but then as soon as GOD2 starts we learn that Kratos pretty much became just like Ares in nature as well as role. And it was presented so casually, as if this was to be celebrated by the player. Am I missing a key piece of lore or info here? Or is Kratos just King Hypocrite?

Definitely look forward to hearing your thoughts!

How the battle between Kratos and Thor would happen if Roger Clark dubbed the god of thunder

God vs Queen. 3rd time I've beaten Sigrun, second time on GMGOW+ (We won't talk about how many times she's beaten me . I don't view myself as much of a gamer in terms of skill, but beating her on GMGOW is an achievement I'm pretty proud of

Showerthought: God of War Ragnarok is intentionally delayed because the release will be PS5 only, but at this moment not enough PS5s are available

    Posted: 24 Mar 2021 12:42 AM PDT

Releasing God of War Ragnarok as a cross-platform title would cause a riot because it would sacrifice quality. Releasing the game for PS5 only at this time would cause a riot because the majority of the target audience would not be able to play it since the console is not available. Any thoughts?

Who the Gate Keeper Of Hel really is

    Posted: 23 Mar 2021 10:03 PM PDT

I was watching a compilation of the troll boss fights on YouTube and I noticed that the gate keeper of hel is called Mattugr Helson. Now if you don't know, last names in Norse mythology work like this: Your parents first name + son. For example, Baldr and Thor are both sons of Odin, and their last names are Odinson. Now, I may be reading to far into this, like he could just be figuratively the son of the realm, like he is just a primordial being of hel, or, he could be the son of the Goddess Hel. What would make that even more interesting, is that Hel is one of Loki's children, along with Fenrir, a giant wolf, and the world serpent. This would mean that Kratos killed his great grandson to save Atreus, which could give some context to why the gate keepers heart is important specifically to Atreus. Now, the theory kind of falls apart, as unlike the world serpent, the Gate Keeper has no known reason to exist before his birth, though I do have guesses to why this might be.

    1. Odin may have had some reason to send the gate keeper back in time, either so that he could guard hel from even before he was born, or because Odin knew killing him could be an issue, and that sending him back would be a better way of disposing of him but I don't really know.

    2. Freya, either through Odin or from her own magic, found out that Atreus would be the key to destroying the Aesir, and knew she would need to assist him when they met. Perhaps she knew Atreus would fall ill and the only way to restore him would be with the heart of the gate keeper, and found some way to send him back.

    3. Kind of a cop-out but probably the most likely: He got into a fight with an Aesir and got knocked backwards in time or was punished to exist in hel always.

Now I could be completely off with all this and I haven't even factored in how time works in Hel, but it's been kinda scratching at my mind so I thought I'd share. Admittedly my points are a little weak though.
