    I decided to download God of War and play it as I had nothing to do. This game has me hooked and Am loving it. Having come from Dark souls, I've always liked a decent challenge and I'm having fun. Any tips for a new player?

    I am not too familiar with a PlayStation showcase, can we expect to see any sort of trailer for god of war on 9th September? All it says that showcase is a livestream event set to "look into the future of PS5". Since the game will be also next gen, is there a possibility? Thanks!

    The power to kill a God

    Why did Kratos need Pandora's box to kill Ares but could kill so many other gods without it before and after that ? In the GoW universe, gods can only be killed by either Pandora's box, the Blade of Olympus or by another immortal being.

    In Ascension, he killed Megaera, Alecto and Tisiphone, respectively the goddesses of jealousy, anger and vengeance, just with the blades of chaos.

    In Chains of Olympus he kills Persephone, goddess of the underworld and Charon, the ferryman of the dead, primordial brother of Hypnos and Thanatos. Although it could be thanks to the gauntlet of Zeus, it has never been confirmed as a god-killing weapon like Pandora's box or the blade of Olympus.

    In Ghost of Sparta he kills Erinys and Thanatos, both primordial gods, but at this point Kratos was still the God of War, which explains it.

    In God of War II, he kills Atropos, Clotho and Lhakesis, respectively the goddesses of past, present and future. One in a conventional fight, one with a time mirror and the last one with the thread cutter in the loom of fate room.

    In God of War III, he kills Poseidon, Helios and Hera barehanded, Hermes with the blades of chaos and Hephaestus with his anvil.

    It could simply be a plothole (every series going on for so long have some) or maybe I missed something ? Anyone had any idea how to make all of this work ?
