They weren't lying when they said GMGOW was hard.

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 06:54 AM PST

I'm stuck on the first set of draugr when hunting with boy, this is my third overall playthrough and the first two were easy compared to this, even sigrun lmao Edit: beat the first one, then the next two, and the next group keep catching me with hits that should be out of range. The glowing blue seems to be new but that could just be me

Update: I beat them, holy helheim it should not have been that hard, i beat sigrun for fucks sake

Where are all of the normal people?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 09:11 AM PST

So I know it's explained to an extent, but I'm still a little confused about where the normal people COULD be hiding. Is this just something they said to stop people from asking where people are?

So there was no point to losing his godhood, huh?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 11:36 AM PST

Back when GoW 2 came out, I was pretty bummed that Kratos lost his godhood. But I reluctantly accepted it, because I figured it had to be done.

You can't just have the protagonist be a god, because otherwise the challenges he must face will seem smaller. That might make it harder to root for him.

And yet, here we are! A whole game with Kratos as a god. No problem at all.

Which begs the question... what was the point of him losing his godly powers in GoW 2?

    Muspelheim cipher chest question

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 10:23 AM PST

I'm playing on Give Me A Challenge difficulty, just left the Lake of the Nine and got to Alfheim. I had 3/4 cipher chests opened and found one in Alfheim that should give me a cipher but only gave me an enchantment. Is this a bug or by design? I don't like to look at guides but was curious about this and found people getting a cipher from that chest. Can anyone help me make sense of this? Did it get patched? Is my playthrough bugged?

[Spoiler] Possible identity of the unknown person in the last mural

    Posted: 29 Feb 2020 06:46 PM PST

Short Theory - Mimir is the person depicted in the Mural

Long Theory - So I was replaying God of War and noticed a similarity between the clothes/armor of Sindri and the unknown person depicted in the mural at the end of the game. The color combination is the same, a blue skirt with a lower red design strip.

Now, even though the attire matches, we know, the unknown person in the mural is bald and has a beard. However, remember, towards the end of the game, after returning from Jotunheim, Mimir mentions that Brok and Sindri took a number of measurements of his head.

I believe that Brok and Sindri built an artificial body for Mimir and Sindri additionally made/gave clothes inspired by his attire.

This additionally explains why Atreus is so distraught in the picture as both Mimir and Kratos are important figures in his life and loosing Mimir would be devastating.

Is it possible for Irish/Celtic deities to appear in future franchise?

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 06:18 AM PST

For example, figures like the Morrígan, Macha, and Cú Chulainn...or perhaps even a slight hint of Arthurian legends given the geographical connection (Yeah I'm aware of that immense time gap).

Or do you simply consider this an impossibility cause the series should focus more on "major" pantheons such as those of Egypt (as of now, I'm 100% sure that it'll happen), Rome (ex: like a come back of Kratos' old enemies, given Roman deities are basically Greek ones but with fancy Latin names), Mesopotamia (sadly, this one is never hinted, lol), and Japan (Shintoism's significance is debatable, though the symbol did appear in GOW4)?
