Kratos WILL Die, And I Know Why

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 12:01 PM PST

Assuming the side quest of freeing the Valkyrie's is being treated as canon, this means that should Kratos give his life to save Atreus, his soul will be brought to Valhalla as gratitude for freeing their corrupted forms. This can be performed since the light of Alfheim was restored enabling the cycle of life continue on again as it was meant to, and perhaps having dealt with the queen.

Sigrun herself will provide Kratos with the means to broker peace with Freya, since even though Freya will resume her role as Queen of the Valkyries, she would at the very least still serve as some sort of high-ranking general who can at least speak to Freya, and I highly doubt Kratos is going to kill her after everything she did for his son anyway.

I think Kratos' time dead will trigger something dark in Atreus, and given that time flows differently in other realms, this mean Kratos is away from Atreus for a LONG time before he's able to be resurrected, which is par for the course for Kratos. It's also not the first time he's been resurrected, but my point is that this will be the turning point that causes Atreus to truly turn and embrace his role as Loki: rival of Thor, and the trickster god we know him to be, only these tricks will come in the form of exceptionally cruel, and vindictive revenge, most likely against the Aesir, who I suspect he'll find a way to link to the deaths of all his giant ancestors in Jotunheim.

I took this while I was going down the elevator thing in Tyr's temple. Mimir said it was Tyr traveling to other realms. So the eye of horus is on the left. What is the symbols in the middle and right? (For some reason saving to my phone made the picture make the outside edges dark)

(PS4) Mid-game question in regards to exploring

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 10:00 AM PST

Hey, Iv'e been playing the game for a while now, just got to the "Magic Chisel" (revived Mimir's head).

As I was exploring the newer parts with no water I suddenly realized that while some stuff are new some was what I already did. What I wanted to know is if I'd have waited to the end of the game where all the lake (or as much of it that gets drained) would all things still be accessible?

It was just annoying having to re-explore areas to be like "oh right I did this" so I think I'll wait and then do everything by the end. Any tips?

Thanks for reading, have a nice day.

PS, my first God of War game and it's fucking beast!

Just started an NG+ on GMGOW+ recently and holy fuck, why are the Dark Elf Elite’s such cunts?

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 06:56 AM PST

These fuckers are borderline approaching artificial difficulty for me, they are such horseshit to go through.

All they do is just spamming unblockables that deal stupid amount of damage and leaving those bullshit blinding rings every time they "dodge" my attacks.

I've beaten Sekiro three times over + ringing the Demon Bell and no charms without really raging once but holy fuck those dark elf elites make my blood boil. At least Sekiro felt rewarding but I just feel cheated all the way through on GMGOW+.

I know this is majorly a rant post, but if any of you guys could give me some tips to at least level the playing field or just straight up cheese these fuckers, then that'd be very much appreciated.

    Sigrun gmgow+ help needed

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 08:02 AM PST

So it's my second run through and I managed the other 8 valkyries not too bad. The vast majority of her moves I have down but when she flies up then stamps on your face I can't consistently beat it. Much more so if the flames come first. I'm trying a double roll but so often get caught on the actual stamp on my second roll. Any tips?

Ps I have the enchantments to slow down time on a dodge and increase parry window.

GmGoW is FINALLY paying off :D (possible spoilers?)

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 06:59 PM PST

After getting my ass kicked by the first encounters it got better after the building where the humans come back to life and Atreus kills his first man. Most fights leading up to it sucked. Then, side missions sucked the life out of me and i found out it's best to do some of the main story before side missions (for some reason the story is MILES easier than the favors). After that I got my cheeks clapped by the first ogre. Now, BABY, the game is really challenging and fun. Give me a challenge was kinda hard at first but fairly easy in the second half. Now it's consistently challenging, keeping me on my toes, forcing me to make split second decisions and forcing me to fully utilize my arsenal, skills, and atreus. The first couple encounters of GmGoW are hell, they're like gatekeepers to the fun part. At Thalmur's corpse i had an absolute ball taking on the draugr and 2 ogres, stunning one, rampaging, hopping off, spartan rage, rinse and repeat. It was amazing. I think carefully when picking armor and considering my build (runic build, it's so fun blasting them with magic axe lights). One of the best combat systems out there, shining with Spider-Man, Shadow of Mordor, and BloodBorne.

    NG+ Best Armor Set

    Posted: 01 Mar 2020 09:05 PM PST

Hi Guys! Just started my NG+, I'm seeing that the best armor for at the endgame is the Valkyrie+ set. Do you guys know which armor set should I invest on before the Valkyrie Set?
