How do I avoid the Valkyrie's obnoxious blinding attack?

    Posted: 03 Mar 2020 11:32 AM PST

I know there's some method where you turn around and it doesn't affect you, but I can't consistently pull it off. I made it happen once, but other times the blinding still hits me and knocks off like 60% of my health. Is there like some kind of timing to it?

This is against Sigrun on Give me God of War btw (so the arrows don't seem to work consistently). This is literally the main thing she uses to kill me, I can do normal combat just fine usually.

The aesir might be too evil

    Posted: 03 Mar 2020 11:34 AM PST

    Just a vent/ discussion

I don't know if anyone else felt like this but I found it kinda annoying how basically every story Mimir teller circles back to and then Thor and/or Odin were dicks. Like Odin is written to be so overwhelmingly evil I'm half expecting the first time we see him he's gonna spin around in his throne while petting a cat.

I mainly am so frustrated because every other evil character has a genuine reason for being evil. Freya was fucked over at almost every turn and then lost her son, Modi was livid at always being in Magni's shadow and never got the credit he deserved, Magni I don't really know if their is much lore about why he's an ass but considering Thor is his dad and he is really evil I guess he didn't have much of a chance of turning out nice. Baldur who I don't even consider as a bad guy just went kinda insane after losing half of his senses and not being able to live his warrior's life. But Odin kills a good friend out of spite for her abilities, has his son commit mass genocide against the jotnar because they banished him after he plotted to steal their magics, and manipulated his wife then cursed her and forced her to live alone in the forest for the rest of her life, then defamed her by replacing all of her accomplishments and saying Frigg did it. Thor is just a crazy mass murderer that beats the shit out of his son because he ran away after he saw his brother get axed in the face.

It is only the first game in this new trilogy so their is potential to make one or both of them into actual characters instead of mustache twirling Saturday morning cartoon villains. I'm also not saying they need to be sympathetic villains like Baldur or Freya just some good qualities to make them feel more people.

Anyway vent over but I wanna know how other people feel like do you think they're 'too evil' or do you like that they have no redeeming qualities.

Just beat the game, and I have a few questions

    Posted: 02 Mar 2020 08:47 PM PST

    1. What was the deal with the mistletoe arrows? I get that they broke Baldur's curse, but why was Freya so against them? Was it because she knew it would break the curse?

    2. What was the deal with Atreus after learning he was a god? He got very arrogant very fast, even disrespecting Faye and shooting Kratos with an arrow. Then suddenly it just stopped. I get that he probably just had an ego trip, but when they were in Helheim and he saw the vision of him killing Modi, he acted like he didn't remember it happening

    3. The ending cutscene with Thor, was it a vision? The only reason I ask this is because the wiki summary claimed it was a dream by Atreus

    4. How long doesn't it take to the get platinum post game?
