Posted: 04 Jul 2021 02:40 AM PDT I've been wondering who blew the horn and thought I'd add my two cents. So hypothetically, it seems like there are only a few options as to who would blow the horn to summon Jörmungandr. We know it's extremely unlikely that it was any of the Norse Gods, as Jörmungandr hates them and wouldn't be civil with any of them due to his feud with Thor. It's unlikely that it was Heimdallr, as Ragnarok was yet to come. That leaves me to believe that it was Atreus from the future. Towards the end of the game, we see the prophecy of Kratos' death while he is in the arms of Atreus, and we also see the snake emerging from his mouth. I'm thinking that as Kratos is dying, Atreus goes back in time and summons the serpent to try and cure Kratos, all while Kratos was trying to find the cure for the younger Atreus. Time/ Timeline - God of War (2018) Posted: 04 Jul 2021 08:57 AM PDT Hey Guys. Just thought I would open up this discussion in reference to time travel in the God of War games. Specifically, God of War (2018). Because, it seems like you could make the assumption that time is a loop. That Ragnarok will and has happened. Kinda like a big 'O'. Then the cycle repeats. But, it also could be linear, and it just so happens that Kratos came to be in Norse Mythology. I guess it depends on the versions of Norse myths you subscribe to. As different versions Norse myths detail Ragnarok its death and rebirth, so the cycle will always repeat. While others state it simply the end. [link] [comments]

Do you really believe Odin imprisoned the Valkyries? Posted: 04 Jul 2021 02:24 AM PDT EDIT: I used the wrong term, I didn't mean Imprisoned, but CORRUPTED. I recently replayed the game on GMGOW, and I manage to notice quite a few details that I might have overlooked on my first playthrough, Odin in this game is presented has some kind of paranoid petty God obsessed with prophecies and magic, he fears what might happen at Ragnarok and he's doing his best to change his fate, but do you really believe he corrupted the Valkyries, some of his strongest servants, (that are responsible for leading the souls of worthy warriors into Valhalla) over some petty shit with Freya? In a few dialogues Mimir states that Odin was kinda fond of some of the Valkyries, but fondness aside, the Valkyries were actually gradually increasing his army in preparation of Ragnarok, why would he compromise that just to hurt Freya? Posted: 04 Jul 2021 03:35 AM PDT TL:DR= Is there a website or app to have a full quick view of perks and enchants. I've been finding it frustrating that there is no easy way to see all of my enchantments and perks and all that in one place, like is there a website or app that I've missed that will do that for me? Lol I'm honestly surprised that something like that hasn't already been implemented into the game already. [link] [comments]

Beginner Armor Help and enchantments Posted: 04 Jul 2021 03:02 AM PDT Hello folks. Need help. What is the recommended armor and enchantments for beginner after finishing the story before grinding for mist set? Mist mobs are way too strong at the moment. Takes only 3 or 5 hits to die and a lifetime of hits before killing an enemy. Thanks. [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Jul 2021 09:22 PM PDT Ok I know that the murals depict Thor dying by the serpent's venom but when we first meet the serpent and he spits out the axe the game shows a message Etir imbued and Etir is also the name of Serpent's venom so isn't it confirmed that the one wielding the Leviathan axe will kill Thor? (Can be Atreus/Kratos) Even after we kill Baldur Mimir says that Kratos has changed the prophecy or it is still the same and Thor will be killed by the Serpent? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Jul 2021 05:55 PM PDT Okay so I just finished the GoW story (I know I'm really late) and found out that Atreias (probably butchered the spelling) is actually Loki. I'm really behind on Norse mythology since I've focused more on Greek and I'm only speaking on knowledge from the MCU movies (I know the MCU Norse mythology is crazy dialed down) but does that mean that Faye was Odin's wife at one point, mother of Thor and now Loki since Loki and Thor are brothers? Or is that all made-up crap from MCU. Or does Atreias somehow get adopted by Odin? Any explanation would be great lol. [link] [comments] |
