Who else doesn't think Kratos will die in GoW Ragnarok?

    Posted: 01 May 2021 11:45 AM PDT

A lot of people, are saying that Kratos will or may die in the next game, as shown by some theories about the Serpent or Time Travel and the drawing in Jotunheim showing a bearded man in Atreus' hands, dying.

But the reasons I think that he will not die is because... He IS the God of War, he is Kratos, killing him would be a bad move, as then, it would be GoW, but like, missing something big, as let's not forget, Kratos is a massive reason why GoW is so popular.

Who I do think will die however is... Atreus, oddly enough. In Norse Mythology he (as in Loki) gets killed by Heimdall, while killing him aswell. So it is more likely he might die, although us ruining Ragnarok by killing Magni and killing Baldur 100 years too early, might prove me wrong.

lots of you like god of war 4 well i dont.

    Posted: 01 May 2021 11:23 AM PDT

you see what i loved about the previous god of war games is now gone: the camera angle has changed so now i need to look everywhere which is not very good in a hack n slash.

not that big for you maybe but a big thing for me: quick time event in the previous games it was great you just had to be always carefull while playing because it could just start a quick time event it was good it really improved the game one of the things i so much loved it wasnt that hard and even that easy just great

next its just the boy: he is just pissing me off lots of times making the game slower he is not even that good to the combat

now we have the cutscenes: the cutscenes in the previous games it was just really important to story or even some action. in the new games it is more like Atreus bloody bloody bloody just boring too hard feelings or some things about Freya or any other character.

next some parts are just too long and boring: i mean lets say the beggining you chop down a tree get it to boat go with the boat get the tree walk with the tree then loooooooong cutscene then walk walk some few enemies then walk few enemies then shoot with Atreus then a troll fight wouldnt call this a boss fight then walk few enemies go home boring cutscene and after all that only a first Baldur boss fight and this goes throughout the entire game that same i could not say about the older because they were shorter but didnt had the boring parts

next the puzzles: in the older games there were lots of good puzzle not boring but very good like the Hera garden you had to kill some enemies open the gate then get then you know but in the newer you just most of them throw the axe somewhere.

last but not least the bosses: the bosses in the previous games were fun good and sometimes the bosses were big like Cronos or Hydra in the new game there was Hraezlyr but he was just easy to fight you had to defend then get few hits he electrisized himself you took the red thing and that you did until you give it to Atreus and then he kills him in the cutscene. and then you had first Baldur encounter which isnt that hard second encounter with Baldur the most boring fight in all of god of war then the final boss with Baldur which was almost the same as first encounter no new moves just some with the fire baldur and the only good boss fight of all Magni and Modi the only bad thing was Modi idiotic messages but otherwise it was as good as the old boss fights.

if you read this to the end thank you and tell me your opinion on this and if you dont understand i dont hate the game just dont like it as a god of war.

    EDIT:

i have forgotten the magic health and other weapons and the way of upgrading: in the older you had to gain health but in the new you just can die and regain all the health the magic was replaced by runic attacks which automaticly restart in the older you had to regain the magic and it was better then the runic attacks you now have only the blades of chaos and leviathan axe which are 2 wepons in the older you had lots of other wepons than blades and also items and in the older if you had good combo you gain more orbs in the new one everyone gets the same xp for everything you dont even get xp for killing enemies and also they changed the golden fleece with shield which is also a downgrade

    Niflheim No Rare Drops

    Posted: 30 Apr 2021 06:11 PM PDT

    Hi all,

Not sure about your experiences, but I'm finding Niflheim extremely unrewarding...

I've completed the maze over 100 times in GMGOW mode, while collecting every chest along the way.

Each run gives me between 4-5,000 echoes, which are entirely useless to me as I have 100,000+.

But I haven't found anything better than Niflheim Alloy from any of the legendary chests, even running 150 Luck armour.

How rare are haze weave, Aesirbane and Anchor of Fog? Because I've pretty much lost hope of ever finding these.

There's also no way for me to upgrade the armour in order to do enough damage to the Valkryie within the Mist time limit.

She isn't killing me or even hurting me, I just can't do enough damage to defeat her within the time limit to win, my attacks are doing less than 1% of her health bar per combo.

I feel this whole realm was poorly designed, adding a time limit only bring a sense of urgency and panic, removing all thought and strategy from combat.

They should have put more thought into making the maze more complicated and the traps more dynamic rather than just forcing you to rush every potentially enjoyable challenge.

Which armor would be best for the early game? I sold my Boar Hide and Reaver armor for Wolfskin so far

Common level armor to be specific

The original "God of War" trilogy is absolutely INCREDIBLE, gets better and better continually with every title and is still highly recommendable today!

    Posted: 30 Apr 2021 01:30 PM PDT

A few days ago, I finally did it: I beat "God of War III" in order to catch up to the "God of War" series and to prepare for the fourth "main title" in the franchise from 2018. I played the first two games in their PS3 version via PS Now and the third one in its "Remastered" version on PS4.

Before I play the latest installment in the franchise, I really wanted to know what the original story was about, what Kratos went through and how he ended up the way he did at the beginning of the 2018-title. I have yet the play the 2018-title and am absolutely excited to finally experience it! Despite listening to the games' epic soundtrack from time to time, I didn't have the time to fully dive into this series until now.

To everyone who hasn't played the older titles, I want to say this:
Play these games! God of War I, God of War II and God of War III are still jaw-dropping, technical marvels and really hold up compared to other games from over 15 years ago.

Yes, the graphics of the first two games do look old, there are certain mechanics like difficult quick time events and fixed cameras that may seem outdated, but these games still have really great action, an art style that looks good, well animated finishing moves, spectacular boss fights that absolutely peak in III and really well executed, epic set pieces many games still struggle to get right today.

The story is relatively simple in the first entry, but sets the stage for the all-out craziness that unfolds itself in the second and third game. As the story goes on, Kratos relationship to the gods of the greek mythology gets revealed and the sick, violent relationships between the members of Olympus is one of its most interesting elements. Kratos relentless, bloody path of revenge leads to an incredible climax, with a bold ending that really made me understand why fans of the series absolutely freaked out when "God of War" for PS4 was first revealed on E3 2016.

You miss out on something if you played the game from 2018, but not the original three yet. These games are epic, worth your time and should 100% be played if you can!

    The True Valkyrie Queen

    Posted: 30 Apr 2021 10:23 PM PDT

So we all know how much of a nightmare Sigrun was to beat. Now imagine in the new Ragnarok game that Odin restores Freya's fighting spirit.

She'll come looking for Kratos. If Freya was the original Valkyrie Queen, imagine how much of a beast she is going to be compared to Sigrun! Sigrun with be child's play compared to her.
