    Posted: 26 Jul 2020 03:01 AM PDT

It is the best game I have ever played. PERIOD. I can't play any other single player game without thinking "god of war is better this makes me want to play god of war." No game is the same anymore! Food doesn't taste the same! Music doesn't sound the same! I need a sequel!!!

god of war 5 theory (contains spoilers for god of war 4). Also, please make this top post :-(

    Posted: 26 Jul 2020 10:22 AM PDT

The game starts off with Atreus showing us jaw-dropping hunting skills, which impress Kratos. Kratos now opens up about his past more, he mentions his past family and Deimos. Atreus starts to feel a little too cold (Fimbulwinter) and it gets a little worrisome for Kratos. Kratos concludes that they must leave the Norse lands. Mimir and Atreus ask where, and Kratos responds with anywhere that is out of the effects of Ragnarok. The world suddenly starts thunder(ing)? Kratos and Atreus check out the Lake of Nine from the view of their house; It is Thor bashing the World Serpent's head in while it sleeps. Atreus implies that they must help the poor snake, and Kratos says no. Atreus gets angry at Kratos, and tells him that he's too afraid to fight Thor, Kratos ignores him. A few moments later and Atreus is zapped into unconsciousness, and Thor flies into Kratos' path. They both beat the living shit out of each other, Kratos barely wins their encounter by knocking Thor unconscious with a punch, and proceeds to lift his Hammer in hopes of beating him to death. Thor's allies interrupt the fight (that Kratos won, because he would've proceeded to bash Thor's head in) and start beating Kratos from head to toe, They knock him out, and proceed to kill him with Mjolnir. They escort Thor to Asgard, and spit on Kratos like a bunch of wankers. Atreus wakes up and cries whilst holding Kratos, he summons a Snake and Fenrir (like we see in the Jotunheim mural), Thor's daughter holds the snake, and throws it into the Lake of Nine. She also steps on Fenrir, and knocks him out. She also knocks out Atreus. One of Thor's allies captures Mimir and tells him that he's going to enjoy his time the with the All-father. With Kratos dead, Thor's allies capture an unconscious Atreus and Fenrir, and a helpless Mimir. Freya suddenly appears, and tells the Valkyries to throw Kratos into Helheim, they imply that he has saved all the Valkyries, including Freya. Freya insists that Kratos is thrown into Hel, and just like that, the screen goes dark.... Tell me if you want a part 2 to this theory!

Could someone give me a rundown of the story so far?

    Posted: 26 Jul 2020 05:45 AM PDT

So, I've played God of War on ps4, and I'm pretty sure that's GOW5, but I saw a timeline thing th3 other day which had like 10 titles. From what I've gathered in game, Kratos is a son of Zeus who rose to godhood, presumably by killing Ares or something. He also did some bad shit to his arms, hence the scars when we get the blades of chaos, and presumably that involved the daddy issues we get in helheim/the constant foreshadowing with that questline for sindri.

So basically I'm asking Is- why is there a jar with Kratos being his stereotypically angy self in Tyr's vault, what did he do aside from killing Zeus, and just in general what is Kratos' story?

    GoW5 theory

    Posted: 26 Jul 2020 01:56 AM PDT

GoW has been on my mind heavy tonight and I have a far fetched, unlikely theory I dreamt up maybe some of you might enjoy.

    Here me out:

What if Atreus is never Loki ? What if Atreus is just simply Atreus, son of Kratos.

There is another fan theory, that Thor hits Kratos back into the past. What if that's wrong, but partially. What if Thor actually hits Atreus back into the past. What if Atreus is the reason the world serpent ate the statue swallowing Mimir's eye ? What if it was Atreus that blew the horn ? What if Atreus becomes Tyr or an extension of him?

Think about this though, if Atreus could choose to be any other god it would obviously be Tyr and maybe this is why Atreus was written to be so fond of him, because hes different than the other gods and shares his values.

What if this past time Atreus is able to guide our present time Atreus to change events or even save Kratos from death by Thor or Odin or maybe our new past time Atreus is even able to accomplish as much as saving the giants

What if Atreus is actually tyr or simply just himself, but Odin creates this depiction of Loki, god of mischief in an attempt to discredit Atreus. This would make our past time Atreus become loki but not for any legitimate genetic or blood reason, however the present time Atreus would always simply just be Atreus, son of Kratos.

I know it's just crazy rambling, but to me this seems more likely than the theory of Kratos being hit into the past

Kratos and Mimir in Helheim. Was that a joke?

    Posted: 25 Jul 2020 01:07 PM PDT

Mimir: "I finally understand! I'm dangling from the hip of the bloody Ghost of Sparta!"

Kratos: "Do NOT call me that."

Mimir: "Sorry brother but it is a lot to take in."

Kratos: "The boy's mother once said the same."

    Mimir: "Waaas that a joke?"

    Kratos: "No."

Mimir: "Okay then. I'm not going to touch that."

Kratos: "She said that as well."

    Mimir: "Was THAT a joke?"

    Kratos: "No."

Mimir: "Lets just be grateful the boys sickness spared him from hearing this conversation."
