Neither Odin nor his dead may reach Jötunheim. The ways must be shut. The serpent and the guardian remained. They alone shall keep our hope. When doom befalls the indestructible, only then shall the guardian return. Until then, we await a better world - one without fear, without greed, without war. We wait for deliverance, and justice. We wait for a champion. We will wait for word that gods grow good." So I've been in a GoW mood lately and decided to re-watch JackS play it, when it gets to this part and I have some thoughts on it. The serpent is Jörmungandr of course, and I think the guardian must've been Faye and I think the both of them were the ones to destroy the tower for travel to Jötunheim (seeing as it says only the two remained.) Then "doom befalls the indestructible" is Baldur being killed and the "guardian returns" is Faye's ashes being returned to her home. The champion I'm not a 100% sure about but I think it might be Kratos and the "gods grow good" is in reference to him being better (but this might also be Atreus seeing as he is growing up and being taught to be good) Anyways, that's all I wanted to say. submitted by /u/MaxWoulf [link] [comments]
